Vaidyanathapura Health Camp
On 26th March
2022, The Immunology and Arthritis Research and Education Trust conducted a
health camp at Vaidyanathapura, Madduru (Taluk), Mandya (District) in
collaboration with Nisarga Rural Development Organization, Madduru, ChanRe
Rheumatology and Immunology Centre and Research (CRICR), Bengaluru and ChanRe
Diagnostic Laboratory (CDL), Bengaluru.
The camp was
inaugurated by Mr. Shivaswamy, Director,
Nisarga Rural Development Oragnization along with a team of doctors from
CRICR. The local support was provided by Huligere Gram Panchayat Members.
ChanRe team,
headed by Dr. Shruthi Desai and Dr. Dhanshree Gavali, treated 178 patients with
autoimmune rheumatic diseases like Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriasis, SLE, etc,
requiring healthcare assistance. Patients were provided free BP and GRBS tests,
as well as orthotics and medications from the IARET Drug Bank.
Blood samples were
collected from 6 patients for investigations (RA Extended Panel, Anti CCP, ANA)
and follow-up is being done by IARET counsellor for next level treatment
